Karen Sampson

Karen is a relative newcomer to smallPositives. She’s excited to be part of the team. Her interests include usability and interface design.

Robbie says: Karen’s great for usability testing, if Karen can figure it out, then we’re pretty sure everyone else can too …
Karen says: Hey!
Robbie says: Nahh, Im kidding of course, it really is the opposite, she’s too involved to be an objective reviewer. However, she’s removed enough from the code that she gives us a fresh look on things.

Dennis Grewal

Dennis graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria: Computer Science, Software Engineering option. Denn’s a top developer but like most people on top of their game it comes at a price. He needs a clear path from the whiteboard to his desk, and if there’s no ice cold Mug rootbeer available -forget about it.

Robbie says: A true “it” developer. He just has the ability to write code multiple times faster and cleaner than a typical developer. He gets results.
Karen says: Just don’t disturb him when he’s got that “look”
Robbie says: Ya, he’s like a hot engine, you need to give him a few minutes to cool down after he’s done firing on all cylinders, but when that engine’s firing its a thing of beauty.

Robbie Dosan

Robbie graduated from the University of Victoria: Computer Science, emphasis on Software Engineering, minor in economics. Robbie sets the pulse of smallPositives. All he really wants to do is to produce web applications that people like using, and have a great time doing it. He believes that if the team is having fun, and if people like our products then everything else will fall into place.

Karen says: Its interesting how Robbie is the “idea” guy who envies Denn’s development abilities, while Dennis envies Robbie’s bigger picture thinking. They both wish they had each others skills.
Dennis says: Hmmm thats true to some extent, I guess that’s what makes us such a good team, we all complement each other.
Robbie says: Agreed.
